Led by Coach Jason “The Boxing Nerd”, every session combines skill development, conditioning, and character-building — giving teens a strong foundation for fitness, self-defense, or future competitive boxing.

Class Structure

  • Level: Beginner to Intermediate Teens (Ages 13–19)

    This class is designed specifically for first-time boxers and newer students who want to learn the fundamentals in a structured, supportive environment. You don’t need any experience — we’ll teach you everything from stance and footwork to defense, timing, and confidence-building drills. If you’ve never thrown a punch before, this is the perfect place to start.

  • Format: Small Group Classes (Max 10 Students)

    Each class keeps a low student-to-coach ratio for personalized feedback and guidance.


    Expect a mix of:


    • Technical boxing drills (punches, footwork, defense)
    • Partner pad and bag work
    • Conditioning and core circuits
    • Mental focus and goal-setting lessons

    All training is non-contact unless a teen graduates into the advanced or competitive program.

  • Location: Modern Warriors Gym – New Westminster, BC

    Train in a professional boxing facility with a supportive atmosphere designed for growth, safety, and focus.

    Located in New Westminster, serving Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, and Coquitlam.

  • Duration: 60-minute classes

    Each class runs approximately 60 minutes, combining warm-up drills, technique breakdowns, mitt work, and conditioning. The format keeps energy high and learning progressive — you’ll leave every session feeling stronger, sharper, and more skilled.

  • Schedule: After-School & Weekend Options

    We offer multiple beginner class time slots throughout the week, including early-morning, after-work, and weekend sessions. This flexibility makes it easy for both students and working professionals to stay consistent without disrupting their daily schedule.

  • Equipment & Safety

    • Gloves and wraps provided for beginners
    • No full-contact sparring for regular classes
    • Strict supervision and focus on form, control, and safety

    Students ready for competition can advance into our Competitive Youth Boxing Program.

  • Will there be sparring or contact?

    No contact in beginner teen classes. Controlled, supervised sparring is only offered in the competitive program.

    Yes! Many teens attend 2–3 classes per week or combine group training with private lessons for faster progress.
