Senior Boxing Classes – Super Sweet Science Boxing

Our Senior Boxing Classes are designed for adults aged 55 and up who want to improve strength, coordination, and balance while keeping the mind sharp and the heart healthy.


Led by Coach Jason “Boxing Nerd”, these sessions combine light boxing technique, controlled movement, and functional conditioning — all in a safe, encouraging, and age-appropriate environment.

Our Beginner Boxing Class Structure

Class Structure

  • Level: Beginner & Active Adults (Ages 55+)

    This class is designed specifically for first-time boxers and newer students who want to learn the fundamentals in a structured, supportive environment. You don’t need any experience — we’ll teach you everything from stance and footwork to defense, timing, and confidence-building drills. If you’ve never thrown a punch before, this is the perfect place to start.

  • Format: Small Group Classes (Max 8 Participants)

    Our Senior Boxing Classes are intentionally small to provide a comfortable and supportive experience.


    Expect a balance of:


    • Gentle warm-ups and mobility drills
    • Boxing fundamentals and combinations
    • Low-impact pad or bag work
    • Strength, balance, and core exercises
    • Light cooldowns and recovery stretches

    Everything is modified to be joint-friendly, safe, and effective.

  • Location: Modern Warriors Gym – New Westminster, BC

    Train in a clean, supportive, and inclusive gym environment with full access to professional equipment and caring instruction.


    Located in New Westminster, easily accessible from Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, and Coquitlam.

  • Duration: 60-minute classes

    Each class runs approximately 60 minutes, combining warm-up drills, technique breakdowns, mitt work, and conditioning. The format keeps energy high and learning progressive — you’ll leave every session feeling stronger, sharper, and more skilled.

  • Schedule: Morning & Midday Classes

    Senior Boxing Classes run during morning and early afternoon hours — the perfect time for active adults looking for a safe, structured, and social workout.

  • Equipment Provided: Gloves & Hand Wraps available for beginners

    Don’t worry about gear — we’ve got you covered. First-time students can borrow boxing gloves and hand wraps at no extra charge. Once you’re ready to continue training, our team can recommend affordable, high-quality gear options tailored to your needs and comfort level.
