Intermediate Boxing Classes – Super Sweet Science Boxing
Our Intermediate Boxing Classes are designed for students who already understand the basics — stance, guard, footwork, and core punches — and are ready to refine their technique, sharpen their timing, and develop the mindset of a real fighter.
Led by Coach Jason “The Boxing Nerd”, these classes take your foundation to the next level through structured technical training, controlled partner work, and advanced conditioning. You’ll gain the skills, confidence, and composure to handle higher levels of sparring and ring performance.

FAQs
You’ve built the foundation — now it’s time to refine your craft. Train smarter, faster, and stronger with Vancouver’s most technical boxing program.
How do I know if I’m ready for the intermediate class?
If you’re comfortable with the basic punches, defense, and footwork, and can hold good form through rounds of mitt or bag work, you’re ready for the intermediate program.
Will there be sparring?
Yes, but it’s controlled and optional. Sparring is introduced gradually and always supervised by Coach Jason to ensure safety and learning focus.
What’s the difference between beginner and intermediate training?
Beginner classes focus on form and fundamentals. Intermediate sessions emphasize timing, rhythm, reaction, and ring control — building toward sparring and advanced tactics.
Can I still join if I haven’t boxed in a while?
Absolutely. Many returning boxers join this level to refresh skills and rebuild sharpness. The pace can be adjusted to your conditioning and comfort.
Do I need my own gloves or headgear?
We recommend that all intermediate students have their own gloves and wraps. Headgear is optional unless participating in sparring.
How can I transition from this class to private training?
Talk to Coach Jason anytime — many students supplement their group sessions with private coaching to fast-track competitive readiness.
